The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the murder of a man in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State.
DSP Ramhan Nansel, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, who confirmed the murder said the incident occurred at 3pm on Saturday.
The Police Spokesman also confirmed that effort to arrest the fleeing suspect, Emmanuel Sani is ongoing, adding that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital, Nasarawa.
Sani had earlier during a heated argument at the residence of his father in-law stabbed the immediate younger brother of his estranged wife with knife who was later confirmed dead in the hospital.
The incident occurred in Mararaba Udege community, resulting to burning of the suspect’s vehicle by yet-to-be identified irate youths.
The house belonging to the grandfather of the suspect in the community who narrowly escaped after the unfortunate incident on Saturday was also demolished and set ablaze.
