
The Police Command in Gombe State has imposed movement restrictions from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on the state, starting from Friday 7th February 2025.
This development was made known in a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, stating that the restriction is in response to an intelligence report indicating threats to public safety and security.
He therefore added that the Command was determined to curb the threats, leading to movement restrictions, as he emphasised that the police prioritised citizens’ safety.
The spokesperson, further urged the public to cooperate in ensuring that the state remained a safe and secure place to live, as he used the opportunity to to advise parents and guardians to caution their wards, warning that the police would not tolerate any attempts to violate the restrictions.
