The Action Alliance (AA), one of the nation’s political parties, has notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its intention to hold its national conventions as well as state and ward congresses.
9news gathered that the party, in a letter addressed to the INEC Chairman dated February 15, 2021, by its solicitors, S.C. Uchendu Chambers, Abuja, informed that the tenure of the current executive of AA, led by Chief Kenneth O. Udeze, as National Chairman, and Mr Vernimbe A. James, the National Secretary, and all other national executive officers of the party would be expiring in March this year.
According to the letter obtained by 9NEWS at the weekend, the party said it had scheduled its ward and state congresses as well as the National Convention to elect its new leadership at the various levels.
According to the schedule, the ward congresses would hold on March 9, 2021, at the party’s ward headquarters across the country at 9.am prompt.
The letter also indicated that the local government congresses of the party had been slated at the local government headquarters across the country same time, while state congresses would hold on March 11, 2021, at the state headquarters also at 9.am
