Presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no amount of money, including one billion dollars, could convince him to venture into politics.
He made this known while speaking at the impartation service of Shiloh 2025, the church’s annual convocation.
“If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t because it’s off my course”, he said.
Oyedepo urged believers to remain committed to their divine assignments, stressing that true influence comes from operating within one’s God-given calling, describing the world as being in deep darkness and in urgent need of divine intervention.
“The world is groaning in darkness, but as embedded in Romans 8:19, the world is waiting for earnest manifestations of the children of God”, he stessed.
According him, God’s end time army will rise to provide solutions to national challenges, similar to the roles played by biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel.
“The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to the national crisis in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard”, he said
His admonition is part of its broader teachings, telling the church to remain steadfast in its God-given purposes rather than being distracted by worldly pursuits. By giving utmost attention to their calling, he stressed believers can influence their communities and nation’s positively just like biblical figure like Joseph and Daniel did.
