The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Port Harcourt North Stake participated in the 2024 Africa West Service Project, and all the wards fully came out with the stake Presidency, Bishops, elders, women, and youths for the exercise.
The Rivers chapter of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints visited the State School in Rumuapara in the Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State.
During the exercise, there was a cutting down of the grasses at the entrance and inside the school compound, and it was been done by the Church members, the men, women, and youths, who were happily cleaning the premises as stated in the bible ” Cleanness is next to Godliness “
While Speaking with the Port Harcourt North Stake President of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Igwe Frederick Ndah, he said it is an annual event held all over Africa West ” tagged “The Africa West Service Project”
President Ndah said it is an event where the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints members come out to render free cleaning service to the community as community service and also to encourage our people that it’s very important to keep the environment clean.
Keeping our environment clean is a good thing and it’s good to reach out to Humanity in whatever way we can.
