A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and a supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, has stated that the individuals who will rescue Nigeria have not yet been born.
Igbokwe, who actively campaigned for Tinubu in the lead-up to the 2023 general elections, made this statement while commenting on the alarming rise in the cost of living in the country.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Igbokwe lamented that the price of a bag of rice has now reached N100,000.
“Despite the presence of numerous rice mills in Nigeria, my wife just informed me that the cost of a bag of rice is now N100,000 or more. Without intending to boast, I am compelled to say that the individuals who will rescue this country from self-inflicted suffering and sorrow have not yet been born,” he wrote.
