Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, has congratulated Ademola Lookman, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and the Super Falcons for their outstanding achievements in winning the CAF Player of the Year (Men), Goalkeeper of the Year (Women), and Female Team of the Year, respectively.
The Minister for Youth Development emphasized that these remarkable accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and exceptional talent of Nigerian youth, noting that the success of Team Nigeria at the CAF Award not only reflects dedication but also serves as a source of inspiration for other young Nigerians around the world.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also extended his congratulations to the winners, describing them as “worthy ambassadors” who have showcased their talent and brought honour to Nigeria on the continental and world stage. The President expressed his belief that the recognition by Africa’s highest football authority will inspire other young athletes to remain committed to their aspirations.

The CAF Awards ceremony, held in Marrakech, Morocco, was a night of celebration for Nigeria, with several players making the CAF Best XI lists, including Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman in the Men’s Best XI, and Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Osinachi Ohale, and Michelle Alozie in the Women’s Best XI.
