However, our collective search for a road out of the current abyss of poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment makes it extremely important to alter our thinking, refocus our sights, and desperately search for the things that can transform this nation and save our future generations from extreme hunger and poverty.
It is in this pursuit that the very wise and savvy Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma picked Professor Placid Njoku, a humble intellectual with world-class intelligence and capacity to serve with him as his Deputy Governor. And the Deputy Governor, Prof Placid Njoku has delivered!
He has remained irevocably committed to the landmark programs and policy directions of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma who is fast transforming Owerri into the Abuja of the South East. Placid Njoku has shown that loyalty and capacity can actually be ingrained into the psyche and personality of our government class.
His very deep roots in the Catholic Church has continued to yield surpport and garneer prayers for the Government. The sense of duty and unflinching loyalty of the Deputy Governor to His Excellency the Governor has been described as a watershed for future political leaders who will get keen on the essence of harmony in leadership.
Prof Placid Njoku has severally described the uncommon and gargantuan capacity of the Governor for discernment as the pivot Imo State will rely on for an accelerated and integrated development, the wisdom of this is seen in the world class infrastructure the Governor is building in Imo State.
Whilst the political merchants will always rely on our Republican social setting to attempt to destabilize the polity, whilst some persons , blind with greed, will always keep their stock in trade as agents of destabilisation, these people who helped Rochas Okorocha and quickened his ruin will surely fail because it takes God to truly raise a man and the Bible is assertive in it’s lesson to us that God resists the proud and gives his grace to the humble .
Prof Placid Njoku is not just a reflection of the Catholic faithful, he is a reflection of the zeal for the betterment of mankind. He is worthy, tested, and trustworthy.
