Report reaching 9News Nigeria early Sunday Morning has it that the founder and general overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, Temitope Balogun Joshua popular known as Prophet T.B Joshua, has died at 57.
9News Nigeria gathered from a close source that the pastor died on Saturday evening on the way to the hospital after suddenly developing an undisclosed illness.
A source from the church’s family member disclosed that Prophet TB Joshua suddenly fell sick after concluding a church program on the evening of Saturday, 5th June 2021. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical attention but died before reaching the hospital. His body was taken to the mortuary after it was confirmed that he died. The cause of his death has not been confirmed as the family awaits autopsy.
The energetic televangelist had preached during the day and showed no sign of illness, and his death has sent shock waves through his church. “
As of the time of this report, 9News Nigeria has not been able to confirm the pastor’s death from his immediate family as to ascertain detailed information surrounding his death. However, a Twitter Handle @SCOANTBJoshua known to belong to the Synagogue Church of All Nations has tweeted about the founder’s death saying: “PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021 “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7”
Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua (TB Joshua) was born on June 12 1963 and would have turned 58 years old on 12th June 2021.
Just a few days ago before his death, Pastor TB Joshua had made a public video broadcast where he said that considering the bad condition of things around the world, he will not be celebrating his 58th birthday in public. He said: “Viewers all over the world, June 12 is around the corner, As you know, I’m a man of people, so the wound of one is the wound of all, as things stand, you may have realised that it will not be easy for me to celebrate my birthday under the present circumstances. Some of the people who want to come are troubled by the situation all over the world.”
“We see their fear and their worries. I feel their pain, I feel their worry. Therefore, let us dedicate this day to prayer and fasting. Don’t forget the needy. By the grace of God, more birthdays are ahead.”
He concluded the birthday message by saying: “God bless you! Emmanuel! Jesus is Lord! Happy Birthday!”
T.B Joshua founded the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in 1987. His Youtube channel, Emmanuel TV, which had more than a million subscribers, was terminated by Youtube for spreading hate speech.
