After one year of its inauguration in May 22, 2023 in Lagos, Dangote Refinery, on Tuesday, rolled out it first Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as Petrol.
At a press briefing, the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote said the quality of the the petrol from his refinery will match the one produced anywhere in the world including United States of America (USA).
The billionaire business man, declared that “It’s a best celebration day” for Nigerians.
He assured citizen that they “are now going to have good petrol while the engines of their vehicles will last longer. You will not be having an engine issue, which a lot of us were having. It won’t happen at all”.
The quality here will match that of anywhere in the world, USA, America, we will make sure that nobody will beat us in terms of quality”, Dangote assured.
The refinery commenced operations at his $20bn facility in Lagos with 350,000 barrels a a day last December.
The refinery which was initially bogged by regulatory battles, hopes to achieve its full capacity of 650,000 barrels per day by the end of the year.
