Against all odds and against the perception some Christians and Muslims have regarding their beliefs, the sources and roots of the two world’s major religions have shown that there is no need to segregate against one another in the name of religion.
Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Arab worlds have taught the world a lesson on religious tolerance and harmony.
Being the source and holy lands for the two major religions of the world, Israel for the Christians and Saudi Arabia for the Muslims have demonstrated that there is no need for further religious intolerance and hatred among the faithful of the two religions.
In his speech at the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Prime Minister Netanyahu revealed that Israel has historically procured peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia. He also revealed that Israel has also made peace with four other Arab nations citing that they are all the children of Abraham and descendants of Isaac and Ishmael.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that over 3 millennia (3,000 years) ago, the leader Moses told the people of Israel, as they prepared to enter the promised land, that they would face before them two mountains, which were the sites of a blessing and a great curse. Their fate would be determined by the choice they made between those sites, he said, adding: “We face such a choice today.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued to say that the ‘peace’ success came after a quarter century of failed peacemaking and good intentions, based on a false idea that relations would not be normalized with Israel unless a peace agreement with the Palestinian State was concluded, he went on.
Netanyahu stressed the need to avoid adherence to those who believe in engaging in religious lies in order to perpetuate terrorist acts against Israel and others. He recalled the “amazing breakthrough” by his country in 2020, when it brought about four peace treaties with four Arab States, he said that these events placed Israel on the cusp of a more dramatic breakthrough: historic peace between his country and Saudi Arabia.
This peace procurement will engender more progress and economic development within the Israeli and Arab regions with extension to Asia, Africa and Europe.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu cited the announcement during the recent Group of 20 (G20) Summit of “visionary plans” to connect India to Europe with maritime links, rail links and energy pipelines, he said Israel can become a bridge of peace and prosperity, paving the way for a new Middle East.
Recalling that he had, during a previous address, held up a map depicting Israel at the point of its creation in 1948, surrounded by “a hostile Arab world”, he said that events over the past few years have helped Israel “tear down the walls of enmity”, representing “a monumental change and a pivot of history” that brought the prospect of prosperity and peace to the entire region.
Religious tolerance and harmony among Christians and Muslims, who are considered descendants of Abraham through his sons Isaac and Ishmael, is of paramount importance.
If your religious devotion does not make you someone who cares about the interests of others and loves them, then your religious belief is questionable and obviously not from God.
Proof of true religion that truly links to God is the demonstration of a believer’s love for humanity and love for God’s creations. If you do not love your fellow human beings and the things that God created, how can you sincerely say that you love God?
