Director General Imo Geographic Information Service IGIS, Mr Chukwunyere Amaechi has cleared the air of what transpired at the front of All Seasons Hotel Owerri Imo state Nigeria Tuesday afternoon.

Speaking with 9News Nigeria correspodent who called on him minutes after the incident took place, DG IGIS stated categorically that the management of All Seasons took his agency to court following an official notice to vacate the government verge.

However, Judgement was given in favour of IGIS as contained in the certified copies herein attached in this News report by 9News Nigeria Owerri.

The certified true copy reads: In the High Court of Imo State Nigeria, in the Owerri Judicial division holding in Owerri , before His Lordship Hon Justice B.C Iheaka, this Thursday the 29th Day of September 2022.

Suit No: HOW/1231/2021 between, 1-All Seasons Hotel Limited, 2- Evang Myke Ikeoku, MD All Seasons Hotel Ltd and Imo State Geographic Information Service IGIS, Chukwunyere Amaechi, (Director General) Attorney General of Imo State and Imo State Government IMSG.

The removal was inline with extant law and neighborhood plan. Our correspodent gathered that Judgement was passed in favour of IGIS and communicated to the management of All Seasons Hotel Limited before the demolition took place.

Recall that the metal grill used to fence the government verge in front of Mimi/All Seasons Hotel Owerri was demolished Tuesday 15 August, 2023.

The people of the state are hereby asked to ignore any unverified story being peddled by the agents and opposition of government.

Governor Hope Uzodinma has not in any case called for the demolition as earlier reported by false News carriers. The demolition was duly done by the order of the competent court of law which is evidential in this News by 9News Nigeria Owerri.

IGIS has therefore warn all Hotels owners and Landlords within the Owerri capital city by way of precedence that all fenced grills on government verge will be removed. Also all generators and fuel dump sited on government verge will also be removed forthwith.

It is also important to note that all costs incurred in removing these stated items will be reimbursed by the property owner and a further contravention charge issued.
