A married woman by name Chizobam Juliet Ahumibe in Umuokwo Didndi Ihiagwa Autonomous Community has killed her Child on Sunday evening dated 4-09-2022.
The reason for the killing is yet unknown at the time of this report while expecting police report on her. Her husband who lives in abroad is yet to be reached by our correspodent.
The information came throught a sudden alarm raised by her neighbors who had strange cries of her Maid and Son shouting for help in her house and rushed to save the situation.
It was on getting to the Woman’s sitting room that the the maid was sighted where she tied her maid with rope to eliminate her.
On rushing to rescue both the maid and the son, it was confirmed that her son has already passed on and her eyes plucked off by the mother.
The angry neighbors bounced on the woman to explain what happened but she was behaving abnormal and couldn’t say any word at that point.
On beating her to give reasons why she plucked the eyes of her son and tied her maid, the combatant Vigilante group landed to rescue the situation.
At the arrival of Ihiagwa Vigilante group, the woman and the children were bundled to the office for Official report and alerted the Nekede/Ihiagwa Police division without delay.
Our correspodent reports that the matter was immediately handed over to the Police by the Ihiagwa Vigilante group because of the capital offense committed by the woman.
The DPO of Nekede/Ihiagwa Police Div, representatives of both the DSS and Civil Defense were all alerted by the Vigilante command.
While police investigation lasts, the Ihiagwa Vigilante group has earlier passed notices of warning to all Residents, Tenants, Indigenes, Hotels, Drinking joints, Filling stations, Lottery agents, Brothels and shop owners in the area not to abate crime or accommodate hoodlums in Ihiagwa Owerri West.
The Vigilante group has established a good working relationship with Ihiagwa general public and cautioned people in the area no matter how highly placed or influential to be disciplined and obey the the laws of the federal republic of Nigeria, 9News Nigeria reports.
The Vigilante group has vowed to remain unbiased and promised to continue combating crimes that falls within the ambit of their work operation having established a good working relationship with the Police and law enforcement agencies in the state.
Speaking with anonymous sources, “The woman k!lled her child at Ihiagwa on Sunday. She first caught her maid, tied her and grabbed her own son, removed his two eyes.👁️ Unfortunately, the child did not survive it”
“The woman escaped a jungle justice by angry youths as she was handed over to the police by the Vigilante group.”
“The killer’s husband lives in Dubai and always take good care of her and the family. So we are yet to know what has led to her killing of her child”
“I want the authorities in charge of Ihiagwa community to ensure justice prevailed; the woman should enjoy the consequences of the evil she did, the source told 9News Nigeria.
The people have condemned such an act and frowned at the killing of the little child by her mother.
A call to the Police division in the area has confirmed the incident and transferred the matter to necessary quarters while investigation lasts. What led to this drastic act by such a mother is yet to be ascertained.
