Rivers Pro-Wike Wards Councillors Embraces Simplified Movement, Pledges Loyalty To Gov Fubara

Former Councillors in Andoni Local Government elected under the Governor Rotimi Amaechi administration in 2015 have pledged to work with the leadership of Simplified Movement in Andoni to galvanize more support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

This is as they expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Andoni Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon. Reginald Ekaan Esq in health, education and empowerment of Andoni people.

The former Councillors numbering seven pledged their support during a solidarity visit on the Andoni Council Chairman.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, former Ward 6 Councillor, Hon Esuikup Obadiah Etekan appealed to the Andoni Council boss to absorb them into the Simplified Movement as they are ready to work with the Simplified Movement structures in their various Wards.

Responding, Hon. Reginald Ekaan commended the former Councillors for the bold step, assuring them of equal rights and privileges in the Andoni Simplified Movement.

Hon. Ekaan noted that the window is open for every politician and lover of democracy in Andoni and beyond to join the Simplified Movement to support Governor Fubara to do more for the state and govern in peace.

The Chairman reiterated that his administration will continue to support the Governor because he has shown sincere interest in the development of Andoni LGA since his assumption of office.

He further advised the former Councillors to meet with the leadership of their various Wards and work with them in the interest of unity, peace, and progress of the Andoni Simplified Movement.

The former councillors present at the visit include Hon. Esuikup Obadiah Etekan, Ward 6; Hon. Joseph Gibson of Ward 7; Hon. Sylvester Philip, Ward 8.

Others are Hon. Ekengo Oke of Ward 1; Hon. Davis Otowo of Ward 5; Hon. Emmanuel Godwin Jonah, Ward 4 and Hon. Ukot Anderson of Ward 2.
