The Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the Rivers east senatorial district election, George Sekibo is leading Andrew Uchendu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a margin of 49,937.
George Sekibo has polled a total of 77,691 votes, Uchendu has managed 27,754.
The results of Emouha and Ikwerre local government areas are still being expected.
