A few days ago, former Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Chief Hon. Oji Ngofa publicly announced his alliance with the political team of Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Eleme Local Government Area.
Delighted with the alliance, all former councilors and supervisors in the Area have pledged their loyalty to the leadership of Chief Ngofa.
The Forum of Ex-Councillors and Supervisors said it has surrendered to be led by Chief Ngofa so that he galvanize the political structure in the area for the political prosperity of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
This was contained in a statement signed by Godspower Atonsemi Igwe, the Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to Ambassador Oji Ngofa.
The Forum was coordinated by Hon. Aldolpus Osarollor, and it announced the adoption when its members held a meeting at the residence of Chief Ngofa in Port Harcourt on Tuesday 5th March 2024.
Hon. Osarollor said: “Governor Sim Fubara is a peace builder and development focused.
“Eleme people cannot afford to miss leveraging on this special gift to give robust leadership direction to Rivers people.
“The Ex-Councillors forum congratulates the Ambassador for accepting to be part of the Sim Movement, and on this note would be willing to give in all their best, to entrench the developmental agenda of His Excellency Gov. Sim Fubara for Rivers people.”
In his response, Chief Ngofa thanked them for the visit and said the Simplified Movement in Eleme was already established but it will be stronger with the loyalty that they have pledged.
Chief Ngofa noted that the political structure of the Simplified Movement in the area will be more emboldened by their collective decision to work together.
He assured that the leadership of the Forum of the Councillors and Supervisors will be integrated into the central body of the Simplified Movement for seamless political activity in Eleme and beyond.
“This is a new political re-engineering for the people of Eleme, to galvanize a gamut of support cutting across the length and breadth of the LGA for the sole purpose of entrenching the goodness of Governor Sim Fubara and advancing his developmental cause for Rivers State.”
