About twenty one persons have died in a ghastly motor accident which occurred at Hawan Kibo Area of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
9News correspondent gathered that the incident occurred at the early hours of Tuesday October 22.
An anonymous source who is a staff of Riyom Trauma Hospital who spoke to our correspodent said over 22 dead bodies of those involved in the accident were brought to two hospitals on Tuesday.
He alleged that the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 22, and all passengers on board the vehicle died, some bodies were mutilated “As I speak to you all the 21 death bodies have been moved to a mortuary in Jos because of the electricity challenge in Riyom Local Government Council”.
The source alleged that the vehicle involved in the accident was traveling from Adamawa State to Abuja, but unfortunately the accident occurred at Hawan Kibo in Riyom Local Government Council of the State.
9News Nigeria correspodent reports that Hawan Kibo named with reference to the hills around the community has an inevitable reputation for being frequently identified with road accidents due to bad road.
Several citizens of the state have lamented the deplorable nature of the Jos -Abuja road and appealed to Federal Government to help in fixing it.
