The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District , Sen Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has continued to change the face of things for the better in the senatorial district. In addition to lighting up Orumba and providing world class medical facilities in Nnewi and Awka, as well as numerous other ongoing projects , the Prince of the Senate has been busy, repairing the internal road infrastructure in Nnewi, some of which haven’t been touched in as much as 16yrs!
Given the economic importance of the commercial city of Nnewi to Anambra and Nigeria, it is indeed a critically vital move aimed at fixing the moribund road infrastructure for easy movement of goods, people and services, and that was what Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has since diligently set about doing, from the bad Nkwo Nnewi Roundabout axis to the dreaded St Mary’s Cathedral junction, Uruagu Nnewi, down to the Okpuno-Eze Bus stop in Uruagu Nnewi, and all the way down to the Traffic Light junction at Umudim Nnewi, these places have all been touched with some fully tarred already and now wearing a new look
Attached are pictures of the Okpuno-Eze junction, looking unbelievably good courtesy of the most Distinguished Senator, much to the adulation of the people as anyone who resides in Nnewi or plies that route, would be pleasantly surprised to see it in such amazing condition, after decades of total neglect
The Distinguished Senator was on hand a few days ago at the site of the projects with some expatriates in tow whose mandate was to assist in ensuring the durability of the tarred roads
With more of the same road interventions slated for major routes across other LGAs in Anambra South, the district is set for total over haul on a level that is unprecedented in its history since the advent of democracy in 1999 .
