Rt. Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, the Member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of his constituency by facilitating the distribution of Federal Government fertilizer palliatives to farmers across Obowo, Ihitte-Uboma and Ehime-Mbano Local Government Areas.

This impactful initiative, designed to enhance agricultural productivity, underscores Hon. Okafor’s dedication to improving food security and strengthening the agricultural sector in Okigwe South.

The fertilizer distribution was overseen by the respective Executive Chairmen of the LGAs.

The leaders supervised the transparent and equitable distribution of the palliatives to ensure that they reached genuine farmers across the region.

At the event in Obowo, Hon. Barr. Obioma Ehirim, the Executive Chairman of Obowo LGA, praised Rt. Hon. Okafor for his tireless commitment to the people of Okigwe South.

“Rt. Hon. Chike Okafor has remained a steadfast advocate for farmers in our region.

“His role in facilitating these fertilizer palliatives is a testament to his dedication to improving the livelihoods of his people and boosting agricultural productivity,” Hon. Ehirim remarked.

The same commendations were echoed by the Chairmen of Ehime-Mbano and Ihitte-Uboma LGAs, who thanked Rt. Hon. Okafor for ensuring that these federal resources were distributed to the farmers who need them the most.

The fertilizers are expected to greatly enhance the farming season in these areas, leading to improved yields.

Speaking on behalf of Rt. Hon. Okafor, his legislative aide, Hon. Charles Uwadoka, expressed Okafor’s satisfaction with the smooth distribution process and reiterated his commitment to empowering farmers across Okigwe South.

“This fertilizer intervention is part of Rt. Hon. Chike Okafor’s broader vision to empower farmers and improve agricultural output in our constituency.

“By facilitating these federal initiatives, he continues to ensure that local farmers are supported in their efforts to increase yield and strengthen food security,” Uwadoka stated.

Hon. Lady Matilda Iroh, APC Chairman for Obowo LGA, also lauded Rt. Hon. Okafor for his relentless efforts in bringing federal projects to the constituency.

She commended his advocacy for the agricultural sector, emphasizing how crucial this support is for the farmers and the local economy.

Traditional rulers, community leaders, and councilors from various wards in Obowo, Ehime-Mbano, and Ihitte-Uboma were present at the respective distribution centers.

In Obowo, the Government Liaison Officer (GLO) from Umunachi Autonomous Community expressed deep appreciation for Rt. Hon. Okafor’s intervention.

He noted how Okafor’s efforts were positively transforming the agricultural landscape in the region.

Hon. Udoka Nwachukwu, Councillor representing Okenalogho Ward, echoed this sentiment, stating that the timely distribution of fertilizers would significantly aid farmers in preparing for the upcoming farming season.

This fertilizer distribution across Obowo, Ehime-Mbano, and Ihitte-Uboma LGAs stands as yet another clear demonstration of Rt. Hon. Chike Okafor’s dedication to ensuring that his constituents benefit from federal government resources.
