The leader of the 10th legislative Assembly of Ikwerre Local Government area in Rivers State, Rt Hon Samuel Oboni, was honored by his community, Omagwa, as well as by the Northerners and the Yoruba community residing in Omagwa. They also awarded him the title of peace ambassador.
On December 4th, 2025, the people of Omagwa conferred a title on their son, the Councillor representing them in the 10th legislative Assembly and also the legislative leader, Rt Hon Samuel Oboni. He was given the title Eze OCHI ALI-RI 1 of Omagwa Clan. Additionally, the Northern community recognized his selfless service and efforts to promote peace, bestowing upon him the title of Peace Ambassador.
Many dignitaries from near and far attended the ceremony, expressing their joy over his honor. They shared various testimonies about his tireless efforts to promote peace and love among everyone. He treats everyone equally, regardless of whether they are indigenes or non-indigenes.
In an interview, Rt Hon Samuel Oboni expressed great joy and gratitude to God and everyone for the honor. He thanked his immediate family and the Omagwa community for granting him the title. He also appreciated the Yoruba and Northern communities for their recognition, noting that this honor has taught him the importance of doing good, which truly pays off.
He gratefully acknowledged everyone who came to celebrate with him and wished them safe journeys back to their destinations, adding his own words of thanks.
