SA-NWS Reaffirms Commitment to APC, Urges Unity Among Members

The Special Assistant to the National Welfare Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Uche Okorie, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the party while calling for unity among its members in Abia State.

This development comes as a call for inclusiveness and collaboration among party members.

Speaking to leaders of the party in Abia on Monday, 27 January 2025, Okorie emphasized that all members of the APC are equal, regardless of their position or influence.

He stated that no individual is “more APC” than another and stressed the need for collective effort in achieving electoral victories.

In his remarks, he said: “I want to make it clear that I am a member of the APC in Abia State, and no one is more APC than anyone else.

“We are all equal in the sight of God and as card-carrying members of this great party. It is important to understand that no one can win elections alone.”

Hon. Okorie also noted that his decision to join the APC in 2018 was a personal choice and a reflection of his dedication to the ideals of the party.

“I joined APC out of my own will, exercising my right as a good citizen of this country. Since 2018, I have been working in the APC National Secretariat and have, in one way or the other, assisted anyone who needed information about the activities of the Secretariat,” he added.

He further distanced himself from any factions within the party in Abia State, affirming that his loyalty lies solely with the APC as a united entity.

“I want to make it clear that I do not belong to any faction of APC in Abia. I only belong to APC as a member. That is my right,” Hon. Okorie concluded.
