Savannah Gankiewicz crowned new Miss USA, after former title holder Noelia Voigt resigns

Miss Savannah Gankiewicz, has been crowned Miss USA in a coronation held in Honolulu, in the United States of America on Wednesday,, May 15, by the Hawaiian Governor, Josh Green.

This followed barely 2 weeks after the resignation of former Miss USA, Noelia Voigt who said she wanted to “prioritize her mental health.”

This was disclosed in a post on her Instagram account on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Gankiewicz, who is an American model and entrepreneur, born November 28, 1995, addressing the audience during her coronation, she said:

“While this decision was not meant for me and I am ready to make a positive impact with this organisation that I hold dear to my heart.

“I am dedicated to taking action and making a difference. With my background as a certified mental health first responder and training in anti-bullying suicide prevention.

“I understand, the importance of prioritizing your well-being and advocating for those in need.

“I believe that the true change starts from within and I am determined to lead by example and, empower the class of 2024 and beyond”.
