A student of Marist Comprehensive Academy, Uturu, Abia State has been reportedly killed when some armed bandits opened fire on four students during what seemed like a robbery attack.
9News Nigeria learnt that Some students from Marist Comprehensive Academy, Uturu, Abia State were attacked by armed bandits around Ihube road in Okigwe LGA on their way from a Final Religious Profession of some Marist Brothers on Saturday, 18th September 2021.
Edeh Donal was one of the four students shot at by the armed robbers and he died due to serious injuries he sustained.
Three other students also sustained different degrees of injuries but were rushed to the hospital where they are currently receiving treatments.
A source who confirmed the incident said that the three are already responding to the treatments.
“In the course of the robbery attack, one student in the person of Edeh Donald was shot and he later died.”
“Three other students were injured. They are receiving treatment and they are responding to the treatment,” the source said.
