Olu Agunloye, the National Secretary of the Social Democratic Party ,(SDP) has petitioned, Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police, over an alleged plot to force him to resign.
According to sources, the members of the SDP loyal to Nasir el-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State who just joined the party, are pushing for Agunloye’s resignation.
Agunloye confirmed filing the petitioned when he was contacted by TheCable on Tuesday.
“I petitioned the IGP about a person who forged letterhead papers and threatening me to resign, Agunloye said.
