Former Senate President, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has felicitated with Christians as they “join the rest of the world to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December.”

In a statement made available to 9News Nigeria, Senator Anyim said the “birth of Jesus Christ also known as EMMANUEL (God is with us) is the wisdom of God to dwell amongst men in flesh so as to feel our pains, bear our burdens and pass through our trials so as to forgive our sins; share our limitations so as to teach us the way to God. “

He reminded Christians that although times are hard indeed, ” I want to urge all of us to continue to hold fast to our faith in God, for surely the mercies of God will never come to an end.”

The statement reads,

“It is Christmas again and Nigerians, as usual, will join the rest of the world to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the 25th of December.”

“The birth of Jesus Christ also known as EMMANUEL (God is with us) is the wisdom of God to dwell amongst men in flesh so as to feel our pains, bear our burdens and pass through our trials so as to forgive our sins; share our limitations so as to teach us the way to God.”

“As we celebrate this greatest love offering from the Almighty God, let it remind us of the fact that the love of God never ceaseth.”
