Senator Abbo Urged To Apologize To Appeal Court President Over Bribery Allegations

Senator Elisha Abbo has been instructed to issue an apology to the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Chioma Iheme, and the entire judiciary following his accusations of bribery. This directive comes from Uwemedimo Nwoko, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney General of Akwa Ibom state.

Nwoko emphasized that Abbo must either provide concrete evidence to support his bribery claims or publicly apologize for making unsubstantiated allegations against the judiciary. He pointed out that the former senator has failed to produce any evidence to back up his accusations.

The controversy erupted on February 1st when Abbo, during a press conference, accused Justice Chioma Iheme and others of accepting bribes in the judgment that led to his removal from the Senate.

The call for an apology underscores the seriousness of the allegations made by Senator Abbo and highlights the importance of maintaining the integrity of the judiciary. Failure to comply with the directive may result in legal action to address the unfounded accusations against Justice Chioma Iheme and other members of the judiciary involved.
