Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende Seek Better Roads For Constituents

The federal roads that traverses Benue North east are in deplorable state and near impossible, needing urgent rehabilitation.

To change the narrative, Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende, Benue North-East and Senate Committee Chairman on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes, earlier this week met Nigeria’s Minister for Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, during which he conveyed the feelings of his people on the state of the roads and needs for executive action.

Speaking on Tuesday,Sen.Udende seek the quick intervention of federal government’s effort towards repairs of bad roads in his Senatorial district.

The Chairman Senate committee on EFCC and Anti-Curruption while speaking to newsmen, gave a holistic assurance that the Federal Government through the Hon.Minister of works has promised to rehabilitate the roads.

Sen.Udende reiteriated that, the call has become necessary due to the detoriating conditions of some bad roads in the state.

There has been hue and cry about the bad state of federal roads in Benue North East, particularly, the Gboko-Ihugh-Tse-Mker Road, Gboko-Ugbema-Katsina-Ala Road, Ugbema- Adikpo-Vandeikya Road and the Aliade-Tse Agberagba-Koriya Road”,he stated!

Senator Udende says; he has first hand experience of the terrible state of the roads and with briefings from his constituents, including HRH.Chief John Ahile {Ter Kwande} so, he has taken it up with the minister to ensure a quick action.

Senator Udende told journalists after meeting with the Honourable works minister that he has the assurances of the minister of measures in place to ensure the quick rehabilitation of the roads.

He therefore implored users of the roads to keep faith that the state of the roads will soon be changed from bad to good.
