Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has publicly condemned Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents the Delta North Senatorial District, for allegedly disseminating false information about him.
During a courtesy visit by the Ndokwa Neku Union, led by President General Brigadier General Mike Ndubisi (Rtd), at the State Government House in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori stated that Senator Nwoko has never engaged him in discussions concerning development projects within the state.
The Governor clarified that the only interaction he had with Senator Nwoko was in response to a request for appointments for certain individuals, which he granted.
Governor Oborevwori expressed his disappointment that Senator Nwoko has not initiated any empowerment programs for his constituents, contrasting this with the efforts of his fellow legislators.
Additionally, Governor Oborevwori refuted Senator Nwoko’s assertion that he was asked to provide funding for the Opai step-down project, emphasizing that no such discussions took place.
The Governor urged Senator Nwoko to concentrate on fulfilling his responsibilities to the people of Delta North, rather than engaging in the spread of misinformation. He also advised the Senator to update his constituents on his achievements since taking office.
