COLLABORATES WITH NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY CENTRE , ABUJA .
The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah in his zeal to sustain and deepen his efforts aimed at tackling the perennial menace of unemployment amongst our youths, has embarked on yet another skill acquisition training and empowerment drive.
The scope of this training which he facilitated from the National Productivity Centre Abuja covers a wide range of entrepreneur and self reliant skills ranging from tailoring, perfume production, make up artistry Etc .
The program which commenced a few days ago ,(the 14th of Dec, 2020 ),saw over two hundred youths enthusiastically getting exposed to new skills, under the guidance of the facilitators and consultants .
According to the Distinguished Senator while declaring open the workshop, he said,
“The target is to trigger a new thinking and philosophy amongst the youths in order to get them working along the lines of self reliance, based entrepreneurial ventures. This will greatly help in easing over dependence on scarce white collar jobs and in the long run drastically reduce the number of our teeming youths currently idle ” .
As the country is poised to battle the challenges of recession in the coming months,it has become even more imperative that deliberate action policy plans, be put in place to counter as well as cushion the effects of the harsh realities that the situation is bound to bring on our people.
This is the reason, why the Distinguished Senator, is currently working round the clock to ensure that the youths in Anambra South Senatorial District and the state at large get actively involved in various entrepreneurial ventures as well as acquire basic skills capable of making them drivers and triggers of economic revolutions and revival in the state .
The Senator assured the participants of his continuous support and collaboration on this quest for economic liberation and sustenance .
