
The academic community of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) formerly known as Kogi State University, Anyigba, has been thrown to deep mourning following the sudden death of one of its lecturers, Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle.
According to report, Dr. lbikunle allegedly lost his life during a private encounter with a 200-level female student of the institution in a hotel located in Anyigba.
The lecturer was said to have died during an intimate moment in what source have described as “active bedroom service” with the student.
Though specific department of both the deceased and the student has not been confirmed, images of the lecturer have surfaced online, fueling discussions among students, and the academic community.
The identity of the student involved remains undisclosed.
The female student has reportedly been taken into police custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the lecturer’s death.
As at the time of the report, neither the University authorities nor the Kogi State Police Command has issued official statement on the incident.
