Shock and grief have enveloped the Tashar Aibo community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State after a newly wedded man was reportedly stabbed to death by his own wife just there days after they got married.
Residents said the young man, known locally as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was resting at home on Sunday after when the ugly incident occurred.
According to neighbours, the wife allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a knife while he was asleep.
Neighbors described the victim, a popular maize seller, as humble and hardworking.
Many gathered around his shop on Sunday, struggling to believe the news.
Local sources called the situation tragic and prayed for the soul of the deceased.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement as investigations are ongoing.
