South African DJ sells out Madison Square garden, breaks record

South African Grammy-award winning DJ, Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, better known by his stage name Black Coffee, becomes the first African DJ to sell out the world’s most famous arena, 20,000 capacity Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA.

He was joined on stage at the 20,000 seat capacity venue by South African artists like Major League, and DJs Bucie and Msaki, among others.

In an Instagram post on Friday ahead of the show DJ Black Coffee wrote, “The dream is becoming a reality.”

He has also sold out 6,000 capacity The Brooklyn Mirage in New York.
