South Africa’s petrol price to decrease by 1.5 percent next week

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – The retail price of petrol in South Africa will decrease by 1.5 percent from September 7, while the price of wholesale diesel will go down by 4.4 percent, the energy department said on Friday.

The price of petrol will fall by 18 cents to 12.17 rand per litre in the commercial hub of Gauteng province, while diesel will go down by 49 cents to 10.49 rand per litre, the department said in a statement.
