The event is geared towards recognizing exceptional individuals in the South West OF nigeria across ALL sector OF the Nigeria economy
The convener of the event relayed to our news correspondent John Claire why there is continous need to appreciate and valuethe works of individuals from the South West region of the country .
According to him, he believes that a lot of Indiginesacross the South West region are working assiduously but some are yet to be recognised that WHY this initiative was organised to identify persons considering their track records and appreciate them for what they have been able TO contribute to communal development.
The co convener of the event Mr Agboola Desmond relayed to our news correspondent John the necessity of this event, he relayed that the first edition was glorious being the maiden edition and having the second edition here at oriental hotel Lekki LAGOS shows their intention to be consistent as regards the initiative, he equally shared the POLITICAL primaries scheduled clashing with the date of the event serves as a major set back to boost the participation for this event but he believes those available at the event will appreciate the essence of the event.
He believes with collaboration from the government, private and public parastatals more can be actualized from the event
Most awardees relayed profound gratitude to the organiser of the event for selecting them out to receive this prestigious award , they believeit is a call to more efforts in their respective sectors.
Live performancesfrom upcoming artiste to spiceup the event, comedy was given by an ace comedian Seyi law who was once a recipient of this award , he equally commended the organizer for this initiative callingon PRIVATE and public sectors to collaborate and partner with them to further propagate the aim and objectives of this initiative
Some of the awardees were unavoidably absent due to the political activities ongoing in the country
