SOUTH WEST POLITICAL SUMMIT UNVEILED, APPOINTS KWAM 1 AS PATRON

The Political leaders and support groups in South West Nigeria have unveiled South West Political Summit.

This announcement was made on Wednesday November 29th, 2023 during a press briefing in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

9News Nigeria reliably gathered that leaders and support groups who worked assiduously to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged Nigeria’s president during February 25th general elections have vowed not to relent, but speak in one voice stating that they would continuously support President Bola Tinubu in whatever capacity they deem fit.

Speaking to journalists on the aim of the inaugural summit in Ijebu Ode, the Convener of the Summit, Amb. (Dr.) Adewale Adeogun said it was to draw the attention of Mr. President, elected and appointed Officers in this government who are from the South West region, not to look away from the welfare of leaders and members of support groups who were there before, during and after the last general elections.

The stakeholders, participants unanimously pledged to continue to support the current government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

Adeogun hinted that the summit would be held in the Six States of the Region and that proposal had been made for Ondo State to host the next edition.

In the same vein, stakeholders and participants who massively attended the summit from all the six states in the region unanimously appointed King of Fuji music, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, the Mayegun Oodua and the Olori Omooba Akile Ijebu Land as the Grand Patron.

At the beginning of the process, according to Adeogun, highly celebrated politician and industrialist, Otunba (Dr.) Ronke Kolade Carew, was appointed as the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the SUMMIT which was highly adjudged to be very successful.

Convener thanked God for the Inspiration and for the success of the first phase of the summit.

He appreciated the Organising Committee led by Dr. Ronke Kolade Carew for a job well done and prayed that the next phase would be better organised and would involve all the Leadership of Support Groups from the region.

Other Members of the Committee include Dr. Samson Bilesanmi, Hon. Vince Bakare, Comrade Abiodun Victoria Alade, Hon. ‘Wale Fasade, Hon. Francis, Hon. Adewale Justus Ademola.

The Energetic and Vibrant Politician, Adewale Adeogun nevertheless appealed to Support Groups Leaders from other Regions to continue to have confidence in the Capacity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to put Smiles on the faces of All Nigerians soon.
