SpaceX founder and CEO, Elon Musk, has announced plans to build a next-generation rocket that would allow ordinary people to travel to the Moon and Mars.
Musk made the disclosure on Monday, describing the project as a bold step toward making interplanetary travel accessible beyond professional astronauts.
According to him, the rocket is being designed to carry civilians on deep-space missions, with long-term plans focused on human settlement beyond Earth.
The SpaceX boss said the initiative aligns with the company’s vision of turning humanity into a multi-planetary species, adding that technological advancements will mark a major leap in the future of space exploration.
If successful, the project could redefine space travel, opening the door for commercial journeys to the Moon and eventually Mars.
