The Borno State Arabic and Sangaya Education Board, (BOSASASEB) has organise a summit on Sangaya Education Reforms in Borno State.
The two days summit started today Wednesday in the state’s capital Maiduguri, at International Conference Hall, Musa Usman Secretariat.
The summit aims to bring together proprietors of Sagaya schools and other stakeholders in the system to discuss important issues on how to reform and develop the system.
According to a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the board, Dr. Abdulqadir Abdulkarim Harun, the state governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum is expected to be present.
Also, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al Amin El-Kanemi is expected to attend the program.
The statement added that BOSASASEB chairman, Khalifa Aliyu Ahmad Abulfathi, also the Chief Host at the occasions, would speak about Sangaya education.
Other stakeholders in both Western and Islamic education were there present.
