Nigerian forward Assist Oshoala has completed her move to Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal Ladies from US-based Bay FC.

The Super Falcons striker, widely regarded as one of Africa’s greatest female footballers, is set to begin a new chapter in the rapidly growing Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League.

Oshoala’s transfer marks another milestone in her chapter and her illustrious career, which includes multiple CAF Women’s of the Year awards and history making spell at Bacellona Femeni.

Fans and analysts say her arrival will significantly boost women’s football visibility across the Middle East.

The 30-year-old, who had joined the National Women Soccer League (NWSL) outfit in February 2024 after a trophy-laden spell at Spanish giants, FC Femeni, underwent her medicals on Monday night and has now joined her new team.

During her stay in the United States, Oshoala made 25 top-flight appearances, of which 23 were starts last season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
