A. 25 year-old man has defiled a five-year-old girl in Kuru, Jos South local government area of Plateau State.
Within the same period, a Secondary school teacher named Samson Lekyong, was caught after having canal knowledge of a 15-year-old girl in Mikang local government area of the state.
Both rape cases and other criminal activities of men of the underworld were revealed by the new Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adeshina while briefing reporters in Jos.
Adeshina said: “On the 19/04/2024 at about 2:20 pm, a report was received at the Kaduna Vom Division from one Lyop Dung, female, 25 years of Kuru village, who reported that on the 18/04/2024 at about 3:00 pm, her 5 year-old daughter was lured and sexually assaulted by one Teregwong Gyang, male, 29 years of same address.
“The victim was immediately taken to Vom Christian Hospital for medical examination and treatment. The suspect has also been arrested and investigation is currently ongoing at the the State CID.
“The suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation”.
