Taraba bans use of Motorcycles in Jalingo

The Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has banned the use of Motorcycles popularly known as Okada, in Jalingo metropolis with immediate effect.

The ban was announced shortly after a security meeting in Jalingo, yesterday.

Kefas was represented at the meeting by his deputy, Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.

Also present were heads of security agencies.

Governor Kefas, açcording to his deputy also reviewed the operation of tricycles in the state capital, adding that their operations will be restricted from 6am – 8:pm till further notice.
