A young man was killed last night attack in Anyiin, Benue State, the country home of the ex-Governor Gabriel Suswam. The deceased was said to have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen after the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K Idris paid to troubled areas in the state along with his team.
A Facebook user, Ushahemba Gande shared the sad news online. Below is what he wrote;
Immediately after IGP left Anyiin ,we have received a death body of one of our brother who reported death around Gbeji to Anyiin road. At about 6pm this evening been 13 January 2018. As u can see in the picture below.
It should be recalled that the Police boss, Ibrahim Idris, was ordered by president Muhammadu Buhari to visit Benue in order to put a stop to the herdsmen attack in the state.
The IG moved to Benue state with five units of riot policemen making a total of 10 units deployed in the state, in addition to other police contingents and special forces on the ground.
