The people of Rumuorlumeni have expressed their unwavering support for His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, during a town hall meeting held by the Simplified Movement in Ward 17.
Former Caretaker Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Collins Onunwo delivered a passionate speech affirming his conviction to support Governor Fubara.
He revealed that he had resigned from his position as GDI Coordinator in Obio/Akpor and as Coordinator of all Coordinators. Hon. Prince Collins Onunwo challenged the critics to explain the alleged crimes of Governor Fubara, asserting that the young Governor had done nothing wrong.
Referencing past events, Hon. Collins Onunwo recalled how the youth of Rivers State had united in 2012/2013 to protest against Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi for insulting former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He underlined the consistent support that the community had shown for Governor Siminalayi Fubara during his election campaign. Hon. Collins Onunwo praised the Governor for his efforts in promoting civil servants’ welfare and for reviving the cassava plant, which has had a positive impact on the local economy.
Describing Governor Fubara as a “God-given Governor” and a “liberator of our time,” Hon. Collins Onunwo expressed his gratitude to the people of Rumuorlumeni for their overwhelming support at the meeting.
The Leader of Simplified Rivers Movement Ward 17, Mr. Wenedah King Onukwuru, echoed Hon. Collins Onunwo’s sentiments, declaring that the people of Rumuorlumeni stand firmly behind Governor Sim Fubara. He warmly welcomed Hon. Collins Onunwo to their movement and acknowledged the significant boost that his support brings to their cause.
