The youth wing of the Ansarudeen association Lagos organizes her 13th Annual leadership seminar at the chartered institute of bankers Adeola Hopewell Victoria Island Lagos.
This Year leadership seminar focuses on the theme The Quest geared towards orienting the Muslims particularly THE youths to keep focused and continue to work towards their identity.
The Keynote address by The deputy governor of Lagos State Dr Hazmat ably represented by the chairman Muslims pilgrimsboard Lagos State who reiterated the importance of Muslims to Influence the society with the Muslims traditions in which they have learnt emulate the lifestyle of the prophet Muhammad SAW, who lived a life worthy of emulatios, he also emphasized that the youth should not forget their responsibility That the almighty Allah have created them uniquely for the quest , there is no need to be deceitful, deceptive, building a succession plan
Mr Ajibola Amboli Afolabi relayed during the panel discussion that some values remains sacrosanct in which hard work and determination can’t be overemphasized.
He reiterated the importance of being a problem solver , thinking outside the box and planning ahead strategically acting proactively which Will keep fueling one’s quest to success.
According to him being an entrepreneur is not an easy considering the underlying factors that could destabilise one’s creativity hence one of the few ways in getting rich. He emphasise a setback we experience in our society the inability of many not willing to teach others hoarding knowledge which will be of great import to the youths.
Failure is not peculiar to anyone is known to be opportunity loss for the experience gain, He encourage aspiring young adults to take calculated risks and to equally have the Right attitude and orientation towards their core identity.
Mr AbduLateef Adedimeji quoted that hard work without consistency is zero , He shared his acting experience far back 1999 and coming out to limelight after 14 years of consistency, He relayed how many Times he haa been rejected, even by his biological father who reiterated that there is NO inheritance anywhere other than the education and religion he has given to him.
According to him he emphasised that being sensitive as one continues to be the best in one’s craft can’t be over emphasized as things that looks wrong will start looking great. He also mention the fact that being in the limelight doesn’t elude himself from mentorship, that he as some few persons he look up to for mentorship and guidance and they do share their opinion on how things should be done right for a safe and sane society
Dr kafayah Ogunsola. who shared success stories so far highlighting her educational background the challenges she went thru her , early parental failure the death of her mother leading to a traumatic situation for her but she has been able to keep being , persistent.According to her she relayed that there is nothing that life would throw at young people now that might looks ambiguous regarding Infertility, loss of a parent, depression that she has experienced She reiterate that these experiences have made her an, empathetic psychiatric professional .
Khadijah okunnu stepping up to make Nigeria great, as young persons should come out and take the lead we should take opportunity of our existing roles regardless of the status quo. She reiteratedthat she is taking this leap of faith with directives from Almighty God to lead for a better and sane society that the masses have been deprived so much of basic services which shouldn’t be a burden on them. She believes her coming will equally build confidence in young people particularly women to take positions and implement polices that will better the lives of our society and generations to come Mrs Khadijah Okunnu said a move from potential to greatness is what I want to be remembered .
Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani share his opinion on virtues that have facilited his growth while giving credence to almighty Allah for his goodness he emphasised the aspect of planning, mentorship, experience,role modelling, consistency , setting goals , motivating the vulnerables,
