Former Borno State Governor and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has stirred reactions with his remarks on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Speaking in a recent interview Today on Channels TV, Sheriff acknowledged Wike’s controversial style but praised his impact on Abuja’s development.
“I’m not a fan of Wike. Wike’s character is that of a rascal, but you cannot take away from him that he has changed Abuja. From the time Abuja was created up to this moment, nobody has worked like him,” Sheriff said.
Many agree that the former Rivers State Governor has brought a visible transformation to the FCT since assuming office.
Wike, known for his combative political approach and bold administrative style, has been at the center of major infrastructure upgrades in the nation’s capital, including road construction, urban renewal, and city beautification projects.
