The Redeemed Christian Church Of God – RCCG has created an online dating site for unmarried members of the church.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God which cannot really be described as orthodox or a new generation church has relaxed her preaching in holy living in recent times to avoid the migration of young members who may exit the fold to many other sisters churches who are thoroughfare to all wolf and a few sheep.
Subjecting the pro and cons of this new way of getting unmarried members of a church get hooked up to our news room analysis and scrutiny, 9News Nigeria says some churches have arrived at the juncture where many simpler options should be created to reduce the high number singles in the body of Christ.
But on the left it does appears that in-house teaching and in-depth revelations and spiritual guide has failed in all permutations to get the unmarried once in the church find their life partners in physical meetings, events and others church programs and this informs the RCCG has rather opted to launch RedeemersConnect.org, as an online dating site to get single ladies, bachelors, widows and widowers get hooked up virtually.
Wouldn’t this increase the rate of promiscuity amongst brethren, someone ask.
Pastor Idowu Iluyomade of the City of David Parish of RCCG who brought the strange linkage of brethren in the Christian fold said the platform will enable singles to interact and find their life partners.
He further stated that when a single lady or young man registers on the site, the information would still have to be processed before approval.
On its website, RedeemersConnect states its mission and its modus operandi:
Redeemers Connect is exclusively for Christian singles, widows, widowers and unmarried seniors in the RCCG global family with serious intent to get married within a year or two upon enlisting as a member” the rule of engagement says.
