National President, Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), Prince Vincent Okumagba has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to put up a measure that will prevent some people claiming to be member of supporter’s club from having access to extort money from Players of Super Eagles.
Okumagba who doubles as the Vice President of Africa’s Football Supporter’s body made the call while addressing the media in Abidjan ahead of the Eagle’s quarter-final match against Angola, saying “NFF should prevent hooligans masquerading as supporters from coming to Eagles’ camp as they are bunch of distractions.”
He affirmed that genuine member of Super Eagles Supporters Club will never beg for money, it was those expelled from the club that are indulging in such dastardly acts. “We support our national teams morally.” He noted.
Okumagba added that “I want to use this medium to warn those expelled members going to Eagles’ camp to beg Victor Osimhen and other players for money on the name of SESC to desist from this unwholesome act.”
“No genuine SESC member will be descending so low to beg players for money. Hence advising the NFF to increase security around the Eagle’s camp to ward off urchins from distracting the players ahead of a crucial match.”
