Two women and a child have been reported dead in the old building collapse at the main market, Assakio, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
An eye witness who confirmed the incident said two other persons were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, halting commercial activities in the market.
