President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated two individuals for leadership positions within the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
The nominees are Mr. Abubakar Yusuf, who has been put forward for the position of Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, and Dr. Fouad Olayinka Animashun, who is being considered for the role of Commissioner for Finance and Management Services.
President Tinubu has also directed Engr. Ramat to assume the responsibilities of Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Commission in an acting capacity.
This interim arrangement will remain in place pending the outcome of the Senate’s confirmation process, as required by law.
