President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extends condolences to the family of Mr. Issa Hayatou, former Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), who passed away at the aged of 77 on Thursday August 8, 2024.
Mr Hayatou was also one-time acting President of Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) -The world’s football governing body.

President Tinubu describes the passing of the legendary football administrator as a huge loss, underlining his contribution to the development of sport in Africa and beyond.
The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and strength to his family at this difficult time.
