President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian youths to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate in the 2027 general election, describing the poll as a defining moment for their future.
Tinubu made the special appeal on Saturday, November 7, at the APC campaign rally held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Omagwa, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He said 2027 general election would have far-reaching consequences for young Nigerians, insisting that their future depended on choices they made at the polls.

“The weapon you have is the PVC. If you have not collected yours, please go ahead”, the President said, insisting that young people could use their votes to support what he described as progressive economic development and fight against poverty.

He defended his administration’s economic reforms, claiming they were beginning they were beginning to improve the country’s financial position. Tinubu recalled that 27 of Nigeria’s 36 states struggled to pay workers’ salaries when he assumed office in May 2023, and argued that the situation had improved under his administration.
The President, who is seeking re-election, said he was working to correct the problems created by previous administrations.
